Barcelona

We always joke that whenever we travel, we luck out. Usually things turn out quite well (weather is good, lines are short etc). We got a little nervous with the arrival in Barcelona that things were not going to go our way. All was good with the flight, but to make a long story short, we ended up at the Police Station (for help finding our hotel that we had booked on priceline) at 9:30 at night with our 2 taxi drivers (we had to get two taxi's because Barcelona law prohibits more than 4 people in 1 taxi). We did end up at our Hotel after $150 dollar taxi ride - Crazy! That night, Bailey woke up vomitting, and then had a nose bleed which caused her to throw up blood - Scary! The next morning, she felt better, and we took the train to the famous La Ramblas stretch where Camden did not feel well. We stayed for a short time, and then that night, I got sick - Not a great start to a much anticipated vacation! The next day, all seemed to be better and we made our way (via train - not taxi :-)) to the ship - very exciting after two days of difficulties!

Sorry you all were ill. At least the rest of the trip went well. Did you all go to Barcelona when you were here in Evans? I may have you all switched with another family. I know my friend, Emily and her husband, joined a tour group one year and loved Barcelona. Can't wait for another blog. gp
