We have had so much snow this year, but over the last 2 days we have had unusually warm temperatures - as a result it has all melted. When a city sits on 2 rivers (the Regnitz and the Main) and all of that snow melts - flooding is inevitable. We walk all of the time here, and just yesterday walked by a bike path and all was good. Today when Bryan and I went running though- it was a very different story. The water has engulfed the bike path, and is gushing down the river. The Main is being dumped into the Regnitz in order to preserve the historic area of homes. The Regnitz must be at least 15 -20 feet higher than usual. Definitely interesting to see!!! (our bike path is usually to the right of the row of trees - it is completely under water!)
