Disney Band - Bailey is beyond thrilled!

The Disney Band "All Star Weekend" came to entertain the troops last night (well really it wasn't the troops, but the tween children of the troops). We found out about it a few weeks ago, and Bailey has been beyond excited with anticipation! I keep telling Bailey that it is not the norm to be able to stand among only about 150-200 people at a concert, and be literally 1 foot away from the singers for the duration of the show. It is such a small turnout for these concerts that they don't even have tickets. All of the kids (or at least the kids who choose to) just go right up to the stage. Bailey was right beside it, and was excited to have gotten high fives from most of the band during the show. I think she is quite lucky - It seems like I am always in the nosebleed sections, - so this is definitely not the norm. The boys in the band were super nice, and signed autographs happily at the end. Mia even enjoyed the show (on my lap), and Camden and his friends decided that it would be best to sit and watch from a cool distance. A super fun time (one of those moments when you know you are getting old, but are sooo happy to see the excitement on your child's face!)
*I had never heard of All Star weekend, but apparently they are quite big in the tween world, and have played with the Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez (who you also may not have heard of, but are super big if you are 12!!! :-))
** The photo of Mia is the story of our life. She had asked them to sign a dollar bill, and then by the time we got to the car she had already lost it - luckily she was sad for only 30 seconds!

What fun!!!!!!! I bet Camden and his friend enjoyed it just as much from a distance. ha... Oh the joy of youth! Skyler said that his favorite song in music is "What will we put in our pumpkin stew?" Go figure that one out. Children are so interesting to observe as they grow, and you are so blessed to be in a situation that enables you to do that in a safe environment. Keep living the good life. Love to all. gp
