The Old City

In the Old City, we began at the Java gate, near the Tower of David, and walked around all of the Quarters, saving the Christian Quarter for last. We went to the Wailing Wall, and then our guide brought us up to the Temple Mount (there is a long line and security, and also only certain times when you are allowed up there). It was very peaceful up there, and the area is much bigger than we thought it would be. We were not able to go into the Dome of the Rock though because it is muslim. We then began to walk the Via Dolorosa. We stepped out of the old city and then back in the Lions gate, and walked the route, ending up in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre...
