Back to Bamberg

We got back from vacation last weekend, and have slowly settled in back to reality (it is often hard to do - even though reality isn't that bad :-) My Mom and Dad took the Chunnel Train to London after leaving Paris, and have been venturing around England, and will come back here this week. One thing I forgot to mention that was really neat, was the fact that we got to see the House that my Mom lived in for her first 2 1/2 years of life while we were in Paris. Like us living in Germany, her parents lived in France when she was young. It was a very nice place, not far from the highlights of Paris (Eiffell Tower, and Arch de Triumph). Very Cool! (see the bottom photo)
Today, we made our first "trek" up the hill in Bamberg to Bryan's favorite place for the season - the Spezial Bier Garten. It has the best views of Bamberg, the Best Kartoffel Salat (Potato Salad), and OF COURSE the best beer. With a playground to boot, it is the ideal place on any nice day! Like I said earlier, Reality isn't too bad :-)
On a side note, we wanted to wish our friends, "The Hatcher Family" a warm welcome Home from China! They are arriving back home today after a 3 week journey to adopt their second Child from China - an adorable 4 year old boy! Congratulations! We are so happy for you all!
