Now in the Double Digits!

Bailey is officially 10 years old. It is hard to imagine that she is in the double digits now! We had a nice weekend celebrating her birthday. She had a party with some of her new friends from school. It was the first time in a long time that she has a had a party (other than a family party) and I think she had a lot of fun. We had hot cocoa on the deck along with charades, a scavenger hunt (actually 2) and decorated cupcakes. It amazes me that 10 years has gone by!
On Saturday night, some friends came over with plans to go to the cemetary for All Saints day and see all of the candles lit. After the trek down there we discovered that the cemetary had just closed for the night. We were able to peak in though and it was absolutely beautiful with all of the candles lit, it being pitch black and no one around. On Sunday we went back and were able to walk around. It was very spiritual just seeing how almost every stone (and area) had been manicured perfectly by individual families with all of the candles left everywhere in honor of their loved ones. I really wanted to take pictures, but wasn't sure if it would be considered rude, so I didn't. The most impressive thing was a huge cross with Jesus on it and at the base were probably 400 plus candles that individuals had left in his honor. Very moving.
* The picture of the church was taken near the cemetary that we went to.
