Christmas Markets

Before we moved to Germany, I had no idea what a Christmas Market was. They are held all over Europe in individual towns and cities and set up for the Advent Season. Germany is especially famous for their Christmas Markets. Nuremburg and Rothenburg are supposedly the ones not to miss, but because of that they are extremely crowded as well. Today we went to Bamberg's Christmas Market, which is set up in the big city square down town. It is so festive - everything is bustling and people are getting all ready for the Holiday. One of the famous activities in Germany is to shop the Christmas Markets and drink the Gluhwein (pronounced "glue-vein"). Basically it is hot wine that is so strong it makes you forget that you are cold :-) Of course we had to partake in the custom, but quickly decided that we can only digest this once a year as it is unbelievably strong. It was especially cute too because as we are walking around downtown, a little girl recognized Mia and was all excited (usually it is Bailey or Camden that are known because of their school), but this was a little German girl who knew Mia from Kindergarten. It is so cute to see Mia so proud to show her family her little friend.

I wished Evans had become a small unique town. When it was being developed it was announced that it would be that and put us on the map as an unique place. Ha, Ha, it has become another Washington Road extension from Augusta.

Watched the Florida vs. Florida State game with Jay yesterday. I enjoyed the time with him. Calye stayed for a good bit of the time, but Harrison would appear on occasion. ha..
