For the last 4 mornings, we have enjoyed a fresh covering of snow! It definitely helps add to the ambiance of the Holiday Season! The thing that we most enjoy this time of year though, are the Christmas Markets! Most cities in Germany have them in thier respective squares, and they are absolutely adorable. The quinticential part to any German Christmas! The individual shop stands are usually bustling.... people standing around enjoying Gluewein (mulled wine) to keep you warm, or for for the kids they have "kinderpunsch" which is warmed punch - delicious! Hot Brawtwurst, and Bavarian Pretzels are also a must. The manger scenes are displayed, the lights are twinkling, and the evergreens are everywhere! It is one of the most cozy feelings to walk around Bamberg this time of year! It is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
