Our friends organized a group of people and invited us for a fun evening on the Bamberg Bier Bike. We went last night, and had a really fun time. It is one of those "only in Germany" experiences. The way it works is the owner steers the "bike" while everyone in the group sits around the back and pedals. In the middle are the bartenders (AKA - me - atleast for the second half). You pedal all over the city (just like you would in a car). It is really a fun time with music playing and people watching - again only in Germany! The liability levels are astronomical. The owner told us that he did not need a special lisense because HE was not serving the alcohol (we were). Bryan and I were talking and thought what a fun business it would be to have a "bier bike" back home, but you would never be able to due to liability. We got lots of smiles from onlookers, and it was definitely an experience!

I don't like the taste of beer or the smell of it in the bottle or on the people that drink it; however, that bike thing sounds like lots of fun!!!!!!! I could definitely be a passenger...... What a great way to get some exercise..... You all fit right in with those folks! Have a great weekend. Love, gp

Just got your lovely Christmas card. Glad you are all doing so well and the kids are growing up bright and beautiful.
As for this beer bike - there is at least one place in America with it too - I saw it in Milwaukee, WI this year. Maybe the German descendants there :)
