Today we slept in until 9:00 AM (which is unheard of in my family) I guess we were all exhausted from yesterday. We woke up and had a quiet morning, and then headed to the bottom of the mountain (where the river is) in order for Bryan, Bailey, and Camden to go White Water Rafting. Camden was not so convinced that he wanted to go, but Bryan and Bailey convinced him that it would be fun and after bundling up in wetsuits, helmets, and life jackets, they were on their way. The kids got to sit in the middle of the raft (so that they were much less likely to fall out), and they also were able to get out and walk around the very difficult rapids. They had a blast and decided they want to be raft guides when they grow up (the guides were extra nice to them and showed them a great time!) Mia was too young to go, so she and I spent the first hour trying to track the raft down to take pictures and then Mia declared, “Mommy, I am finished rafting”, so then we went back and spread out a blanket near the river and played “Schwip Schwap” (a German children’s card game). At the end of the raft run, the kids (Bryan included) came back with huge smiles and great confidence (especially from Camden). It was a really fun day!

WOOHOO!! Rhodes family - what a fun time it looks like you had - our little trip down the river in a canoe was nothing to compare to this!! Camden, I'm proud of you for going - and Bailey I'm quite impressed w/ you, also. Bryan and Allison, you must have drawn straws to see who HAD to sit this one out!! None the less, a good time was had by all - you can tell by the huge smiles on everyones faces - can't wait to see the next adventure :)
love you all,
CBOB
