For a few years now, I have really wanted to stay at a "Hay Hotel." For our 17th Anniversary (Happy Anniversary, Bryan :-), we all went and had a really neat time. I'm not sure if they have anything like it in the U.S. (especially because of liability issues), but over here, they have several of these Hotels. They are usually accompanied with some type of farm. The one we went to had pigs, chickens, rabbits, cats, birds, goats, cows, and donkeys. The "Hotel" sat right on a narrow river which was a popular route for kayakers - it was fun watching everyone going down the river. The real fun of the hotel, was of course sleeping on Hay (and my, it really was QUITE comfortable). We quickly discovered that Camden has a slight allergy to Hay, so he slept on a wooden side board, but had a blast jumping in the hay none the less. The other truly fun part of the hotel, was having nothing to do, except enjoy the animals, stick our feet in the freezing cold water, watch a beaver trying to construct dams, watching new baby birds leaving the nest for the first time, and explore the little village. It was very simple and basic, which made it that much more fun for us. We even got an anatomy lesson, when the farmers introduced a steer to the group of cows - yes a VERY interesting site!!! Definitely a place to go back to!!!!!
