School

Happy 1st day of school!

Bailey and Camden started back at school yesterday. They are very excited, and I am excited for them . I always say that we love everything about living over here, except the school situation. We enjoyed homeschooling, and learned a lot (including myself), but had difficulties with the social aspect (not knowing the language, it was tough to make friends). The next year in German school was great. They made tons of friends, they learned the language (along with oodles of life skills), but they were only "guest" students. In the German system, you must earn your spot in school, and not having been brought up in the system, their "spot" would be pretty low - so low that they would have to switch schools in order to stay in the system. Mia is doing great in the German system, because she started from the beginning, so she will continue to stay in it. Bailey and Camden are back in the American system, and we are hoping for a great year. They both came home happy yesterday - so that was great. The only bad thing is that once again, we are on 2 different vacation schedules, which makes it a little tricky. Mia still has 2 1/2 weeks before she goes back to school, which is very nice. Hoping for a great school year!
