World Cup Soccer - die Frauen Mannschaft

I was at a soccer tournament for Camden yesterday, and in my broken German, asked another parent if they had been watching the World Cup. He replied "die Frauen Mannshaft?" (meaning the womens team?) - "a little bit". It is funny because the Women's World Cup, even though it is taking place in Germany, has not been nearly as big a deal as the Mens (which basically shut down the country during the games this time last summer). With that said, we have been watching and enjoying it, and can't wait to see the American's final game tonight against Japan. It was especially funny last Sunday, when the U.S. played Brazil. The game was almost over (and the U.S. was losing), and we noticed on foxnews.com that they had already decided the fate of the team, when they posted the headline above (I had to get a picture of it :-). Well, they definitely had to backtrack because the Americans ended up winning, then they went on to beat France, and tonight hopefully they will beat Japan to win it all! Kind of funny!!!
