Slowly but Surely

We have slowly but surely been getting adjusted to the time change here in Germany. We 've been venturing out during the day for fun and for business. Bryan has been a great tour guide around the base and has gotten us our ID Cards, new Bank, Registration for School etc. It is conventient because all of the things that you would normally have to drive all over town for are all centrally located and available at your disposal. With the exception of not having all of the required shots for school (which is an extremely soar subject for Bailey and Camden), everything has been quite easy. We are staying in a Hotel "on the economy" (which is what the Americans here call it if you are not on the base) and the the town of Bamberg is right here. The town itself is absolutely adorable. We ventured out yesterday to do a little touring around. Bamberg is one of the few cities not destroyed in the war and the history of some of the buildings is enormous. I have posted some pictures of our day yesterday. Next on our agenda is to try to find a house to live in. Of my course my goal is to find the cutest house on the river with views of the church on the hill and the character of an old house, yet the convenience of a newer one, convenient to Bryans work, and we could still bike ride to the kids school -WHICH IS PROBABLY NOT HAPPENING :-) We'll have to wait and see what we can find. I guess several of the bases in surrounding towns have closed and many new people have moved here which makes the housing quite competetive. In the mean time we are getting quite used to our hotel!
