For our last stop before heading home to Germany, we stayed with my Aunt and Uncle in Virginia. We had a great time with them , and also got to see Bryan's Brother and his family at the Great Falls (see pics of our niece and nephew with our kids), and my best friend from childhood and her family. My Aunt and Uncle live very close to D.C. , so we had a little educational opportunity to tour the Capitol and see the White House and other Monuments. Bailey took a big liking to all of it, and has already firmed up a room at my Aunt and Uncle's house when she gets an internship at the Capitol Building someday :-). My Aunt also took us to the new Air and Space Center out near Dulles airport - it was really cool because Brian Williams (the evening TV host) was interviewing John Glenn (the former astronaut and U.S. Senator) for the upcoming event of the last space shuttle mission in July. We were able to get a photo (not a great one though) of the kids with both of them - we were quite excited! It was a great last stop after a fantastic U.S. trip. We spanned almost the entire East Coast, and are so grateful for all of our fun times with family and friends. We didn't get to see everyone we wanted to, but we hope we have lots of visitors during our last 2 years here in Deutschland!
