We hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas spent with loved ones and filled with the times that memories are made of. We had a snuggly and lazy Christmas and thanks to technology (skype and magicjack) we were able to visit with family and friends that we miss so much! On Christmas Eve, we walked to Church with snowflakes coming down on us - there is something so special about singing "Silent Night" in German (the original version) in a Candlelit 19th Century church as snow falls all around. And then somewhere between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - a foot of snow dumped on the streets (more snow than anyone around here can remember ever having in Bamberg). A wonderful Christmas! My favorite gift was a surprise from Bryan of the Blog that I write (the one you are reading now :-) that he compiled into book form. With all of the wonderful gifts that we are so fortunate to receive, it is really only the memories that will sustain us forever! Merry Christmas!!! *The photo of the Nativity Scene was our recent purchase from Israel. The ironic thing is that we bought it from a Palestian with the assistance of our Jewish Guide. It is interesting, when shown respect across lines, how peace can be established. We definitely learned something.
