Fall is one of my favorite Seasons! I don't know why, but there is something so cozy about brisk mornings, changing leaves, pumkins, fresh apples from the tree, chestnuts falling (this is actually a funny one, because the sound of chestnuts "kerplunking" on to the roofs of parked cars outside our bedroom window, is one we hear throughout the night - it sounds a little like a gun shot :-)). This is the season where we pull out the warm clothes, and the evenings tend to get a little darker. It is just a nice Season. The Germans celebrate with festivals galore - in appreciation for the harvest (a little like Thanksgiving, but in a festival form instead). It is a great time of year! *Dad/Grandpa - the woodpile photo was taken by Bailey, especially for you! Thank you for the fun memories :-) We are just thankful our wood was not quite so big!!! :-)
