There are so many annual events/traditions that take place here, that you could stay busy every weekend all year long. This weekend was one of the annual Kirweh (Church Festivals) that we have been a part of for the last 3 years. Every year it is the same (it reminds me of the little 4th of July Parade in my home town). Camden, Mia, and I were actually in the parade, while Bailey, Bryan and Bailey's friend looked on. You have the same events each year; the rising of the tree, the parade, the tapping of the keg, the distribution of the pretzels, and then the exodus of people heading to the local Bier Garten for good food and company. It was a gorgeous day, the sun was shining, all of the flowers were in full bloom, and all of the kids were entertained. A very nice annual event to have partaken in :-) In the evening, we went to our friend's house for a barbeque. This is a favorite amnong my kids because our friends have animals (dog - who fetches, cat, bunnies, horse, chickens, bees etc.). Every time we go, all 3 choose a favorite bunny to adopt for the entire evening. They do not let the bunnies out of their site at all - being that it wouldn't be fair to an animal living in the city where we do, this is the next best thing for them. A super fun day for all of us!
