Bamberg Half Marathon
On Sunday, over 11,000 runners participated in the World Culture Running Day here in Bamberg. Bryan and I were among the almost 4000 people that took part in the Half Marathon. It began at 3:30 in the afternoon when the temperature was around 75 degrees, so it was quite challenging. Bamberg also has 7 Hills (just like Rome), and we had to run up the two biggest ones. We did not do quite as well as we had hoped timewise, but it was definitely a fun race to run (there were over 40000 spectators). One of the highlights for me was to see our kids cheering for us along several points along the race. Their bright smiles definitely gave us a huge boost!
