We are officially "back to the grind" :-) We are all back in School and back to work! It is amazing how summer vanishes so quickly and "school mode" sets back in -almost as if it was never here at all. The nervousness of a new year bring much anticipation as everyone hopes they enjoy their new teachers and classmates, and so far the verdict is that is is going to be a good year! The kids are very happy with their teachers and their extracurricular activities. This is such a relief as a parent to know that everyone (atleast for now) is happy!
With the craziness of the first week, the highlight of the long weekend was not a trip anywhere, but instead what we call our Saturday "Bacon Morning." The kids have labeled this morning as the cozy feeling that they get at home on Saturday mornings after they can sleep in a little (O.K. usually it is only until 7:00 or so) and then wake up to the smell of Daddy cooking Bacon. Such a simple pleasure that means so much and has become our cherished Saturday morning tradition!
I guess the saying is: Work Hard - Play Hard and hopefully this year will bring the opportunity for just that!!!

BBOB cooking bacon ??? has Germany created a new chef ??? sounds like a great tradition to me - can i have mine served in bed when you guys move back? 7:00 is way too early for me to get up on a saturday morning :)
I am sure you are all settled in with the school stuff by now. I feel as though it should be March. ha..... It is a very challenging year. We have a curriculum director that I liken to our president. I call her the little white Obama. She was in the classroom for three years and thinks she is the solution to the educational problems of the county. Sad, sad, sad...... Pray for me and my attitude. ha.... You all stay happy and productive. Love to you all. gp
